In this course you will learn how to perform rigging practices, identify trees, inspect them for access and work and perform pruning operations.

You will have an opportunity to gain training and expertise on a range of tree access methods including EWP, rope and harness climbing and spur climbing. You will also have the opportunity topractice chainsaw, pole saw and felling trees manually.

This course also includes a number of practical sessions in parklands and forest environments where you will have the opportunity to develop arborist climbing techniques with rope and harness, and specialised equipment under the supervision of practising Arborists. You’ll learn how to undertake aerial rescue, perform ground-based and aerial rigging, as well as develop your tree dismantling techniques.
